Description: Job Title: Quality Control Auditor - Spec, Quality (Aircraft Maint. & Mod) Location: Greenville, Texas Requisition: IMS8 Schedule: You will be required to work any shift/schedules as required by management. Job Description: Position is for a Specialist, Quality (Quality Control Auditor). Responsible for the design, development and implementation of standards, methods, and procedures for inspecting, testing, and evaluating the precision and accuracy of company products in compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements. Performs analysis on reported nonconformities and discrepancies related to assembly, process, mechanical, electrical, electro-mechanical systems, field, and clinical data. Further investigates the cause for discrepancies and nonconformities to develop disposition and recommend corrective action plans. Interfaces with manufacturing, engineering, customer, vendor, and subcontractor representatives to ensure requirements are met. Serves as the primary interface to customers and supplier for quality related matters. Essential Functions:

• The candidate filling this position will be responsible for conformity inspections of major repairs and alterations to ensure compliance with technical data.
• Compliance audits of requirements related to company procedures, DCMA 8210.1, AS9100, and FAA regulations.
• Position has possibility of working off-shift hours and/or weekends and may require up to 10% travel to off-site locations in support of program needs.
• Perform audits to ensure compliance requirements of AS9100 and DCMA 8210.1 instructions. Perform Investigations related to customer escapes, concerns, or other significant quality issues to include root cause determinations and preventative actions. Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree and a minimum of 8 years of prior related experience. Preferred Additional Skills:
    • Five years of experience performing conformity inspections of installations on a product.
    • Five years of experience inspecting aircraft systems installations and be able to determine airworthiness of the aircraft before flight testing.
    • Three years of experience performing conformity inspections of articles.
    • Two years of experience performing conformity inspections of compliance test set-ups.
    • Practical knowledge of job area typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience. Any of the following:
    • Candidate must be able to work in confined spaces such as aircraft fuel tanks, lower equipment bays, etc.
    • FAA Airframe Certificate.
    • Must be able to complete necessary training for inclusion on the ODA Inspection Unit Member Roster and perform FAA Conformity Inspections.
    • Intimately familiar with FAA documentation and Regulations (CFR 14).
    • Must have US DoD security clearance.
    • Ten years of experience related to the modification and inspection of aircraft, aircraft parts and assemblies.
    • Knowledge of root cause analysis and establishing corrective action plans.
    • Familiar with Lean/Six Sigma principles.
    • Familiar with DCMA 8210.1 and AS9100 requirements.
