• Provide career guidance, mentorship, and performance management for ICs on the team
• Writing code and this is a Sr level engineering position
• Guide our data engineering and architecture. Determine the right tools appropriate for the job. We collaborate on the requirements of course but you call the shots on what gets built in the end.
• Institute data engineering best practices (i.e. dimensional modeling, ETL/ELT pipeline, large scale distributed ETL/ELT pipelines) to enable large-scale machine learning
• Create and maintain analytics data pipelines that generate data + insight to power business decision making
• Provide feedback to product and engineering on new and upcoming featuresWhat You Need for this PositionMust Haves
  • Strong experience with ETL, dimensional modeling, data warehouse design, data quality monitoring, dashboarding)
  • Strong experience with database query languages (i.e. SQL or its MPP equivalent), database design, optimizing queries, internals knowledge of query planning
  • Strong experience with with distributed computing/MapReduceNice To Haves
    • Management, coaching, or mentorship experience
    • Extensive experience with event tracking or marketing lead tracking
    • Extensive experience in distributed computing cluster management (Hadoop, Spark, Flink, etc)
    • Experience running cloud-native workloads on Kubernetes
    • DBT Familiarity
    • Productionize machine learning pipelines
