Job Description:
West Fraser is seeking a skilled Industrial Millwright to join
our team in our robust manufacturing environment, where we are
dedicated to producing top-quality wood products including lumber,
LVL, MDF, plywood, pulp, and renewable energy. As a key player in
maintaining the operational efficiency of our machinery and
mechanical equipment, the ideal candidate will contribute to our
ethos of quality, safety, and community spirit. Inspect and assess
the functionality of production machines and equipment. Perform
preventative maintenance and repair activities on mechanical
systems. Dismantle defective machines for repair, using hand tools.
Install new or repaired parts into equipment and make necessary
adjustments. Read and interpret engineering blueprints and
schematic drawings. Collaborate with the operations team to
schedule maintenance and minimize machinery downtime. Adhere to
workplace safety policies, regulations, and compliances. Train and
guide junior mechanics and millwright apprentices. Proficient in
mechanical repair. Able to read and interpret technical documents
and drawings. Strong problem-solving skills. Good communication and
teamwork abilities. High level of manual dexterity and attention to

Any additional certifications related to mechanical maintenance or
safety protocols are favorable.
