JOB TITLE: Vice President of Franchise Operations DEPARTMENT: National Franchise Operations REPORTS TO: CEO FLSA STATUS: Exempt JOB CODE: 000747 POSITION PURPOSE: Works closely with the CEO to set strategies and tactics to drive the overall corporate financial objectives and actively manages all national franchise operations. Serves as the liaison between the Snelling Support Center and the franchise offices regarding finance, sales, operations and management. Directly responsible for growing franchisee---s sales and gross margins. MUST HAVE STAFFING INDUSTRY EXPERIENCE TO BE CONSIDERED DUTIES RESPONSIBILITIES --- ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Responsible for the Snelling Network market development, expansion, and management for the franchise locations in all areas as designated for franchise offices. Communicates regularly with franchise offices to build trust and rapport and share best practices. Identifies new strategic account opportunities and discusses staffing opportunities, new resources, sales newsletters, etc. Documents relevant business discussions and franchise information, including key business measurement statistics and results. Creates sales programs, annual business plans, and annual office sales budgets (subject to the agreement by the Franchisee). Identifies critical training and development necessary to support the franchise locations. Provides hiring assistance for key internal office staff and assists in establishing individual sales budgets. Collaborates with Franchise Owner/Manager to set strategies and tactics to achieve maximum profitability for all franchise offices. Participates in the franchise sales process by interviewing and evaluating qualified buyers. Leads and oversees the process to prepare new Franchisees for office openings and assists with start-up and post-op training in compliance with the Franchise Agreement. Develops and instructs training programs in some or all of the functional areas: sales, operations, career business, management and leadership, front office technology. Provides performance management assistance in identifying and correcting under-performing franchise offices or internal staff and guides installment of corrective action. Implements all sales initiatives driven by Snelling headquarters and assists in closing for new business. Evaluates all large/major business opportunities, per office, per region, as presented, by way of Pro-Formas, RFI and RFP reviews. Leads, plans and delivers regional meetings annually (as necessary) and assists in planning and presenting at the annual convention. Performs other duties as assigned. KNOWLEDGE & SKILL REQUIREMENTS: EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE : -- Must have a proven growth record with franchise operations. -- Minimum five years of professional experience in the staffing industry required. -- Previous experience in managing an overall territory budget and P&L of a staffing business required. -- Sales and operations experience prefered in multiple lines of business in the staffing industry, including light industrial, clerical, administrative, professional, and contingency workforce staffing from temporary to full time positions. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILIITES: Must have excellent communication skills. Must maintain highly sensitive and confidential information. Must demonstrate ability to multi-task and possess strong organizational skills. Must possess judgment and consultative ability to interact effectively with employees, clients and Franchisees. Must have strong customer service and selling skills. Must demonstrate ability to build morale and group commitments to goals and objectives. -- Must be a decisive individual who possesses a "big picture" perspective. Must have proficient technology knowledge in multiple mediums. Must be able to travel 25% of the time. Focused customer support for the franchisees is a priority.
