SUMMARY DESCRIPTION: This position is mainly remote, prefer candidates in the DFW area. The Business Development Manager will be responsible for both B2B and house account sales within their territory, to include (but not limited to): lead generation, prospect cultivation, customer requirements, product selection, presentations and proposals in order to promote and sell the organization's goods and services in line with company's strategy, and provide input for marketing activities within assigned markets consistent with the organizational goals and budgets.This position provides a base salary with commission plan.Expectations of the position:* Manage assigned territories and accounts* Prospect and develop new customers in industries' that would benefit from automated package and mail handling/processing/sorting solutions. * Plan and conduct customer visits with existing and new identified potential customers* Contribute to advertising and sales promo--tion activities* Gather and disseminate market intelligence (including but not limited to market/ industry trends, competition news, market pricing, etc.)* Negotiate through a complex sales process to align both the customers' needs and NPI's offerings. * Offer and negotiate maintenance and repair service contracts, part contracts, along with extended warranties, to both new and existing customers.* Increase and implement industry awareness of NPI among top distribution companies within their territory.* Establish relationships with the appropriate point-of-contact involved in making company decisions. * Develop solid working knowledge of NPI's products and services* Participate in trade shows.* Regularly update status reports and details of interactions with customers within CRM to ensure open and accurate communication lines within the sales pipeline.* Represent NPI in a professional mannerExemplary Duties/Responsibilities: * Implement and drive plans of action to achieve equipment and service sales objectives in line with company's vision and growth targets. This includes recommending and implementing short and long-range equipment and service sales plans.* Utilizing company resources, identify, and develop new organizations that can benefit from company's equipment and services. Strive to make contact and develop a relationship with key stakeholders at the identified companies.* Utilizing company's CRM, provide monthly account analysis and updated fore--casts. Monitor performance against budget within prescribed area of responsibility.* Make sales calls, establish, and maintains customer contacts. Provide product application and selection assistance to customers. Provide price and delivery terms with verbal (ROM) and written formal quotations.* Gather and disseminate market intelligence (market/ industry trends, competition news, market pricing, etc.) to steer the company in a strategic way.* Contribute to the development and distribution of products' and services' information, brochures, and other collateral documentation to successfully market them.* Continuously seeks ways to increase customer satisfaction and company's bottom line.* Upon request, be prepared to assist efforts including but not limited to sales presentations, sales training, trade shows, seminars, disputes and problem solving.* Comply with policy and procedures as described in company employee handbook.Education/Experience:Education:--Bachelor's degree with a major in Business/Marketing or Sales field, or equivalent sales experience and education.Experience: Over 5 years' experience in sales of specialty products plus working knowledge of tech--nology and marketing techniques used in the materials handling business.Knowledge:--Working knowledge of the principles and procedures of advanced marketing and sales; high-level knowledge of use and application of standard office equipment and software applications.Skills:--Examine and assess potential customer qualifications;--good and effective written and oral communication abilities;--excellent telephone communication and skills;--high-level ability to use standard office equipment and software applications (e.g. Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, CRM, etc.); reading and comprehension at a level appropriate to duties of the position;--Ability to establish cooperative working relationships with other employees, customers and management;--work under pressure; task oriented to meet deadlines. PHYSICAL STANDARDS:--This position requires a lifting capability of 40 lbs. unassisted.
