POSITION SUMMARY:
The VP, IT Infrastructure is responsible for IT infrastructure architecture, standards and management to include disaster recovery, security, storage, servers, monitoring, performance, and back-office systems. The role must ensure reliable 24/7 operations and be a champion for our journey to Cloud and implementation of DevOps.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develops, manages and tests the company's monitoring, backup and disaster recovery capabilities
- Supports other functions within IT (Application Development, DevOps, Analytics and InfoSec) as well as business users
- Conducts analysis of the current technology environment to detect critical deficiencies and recommend solutions for improvements necessary to support company growth
- Establishes infrastructure operational plan to achieve department goals and ensure compliance with established policies
- Develops the Infrastructure team and mentors talent to deliver the technology management and execution capabilities of the company
- Implements and manages processes and controls that assure maximum uptime and quick service to the user community for both on premise and Cloud workloads
- Manages infrastructure on premise and in the cloud, including cost and capacity planning.
- Ensures the security of the IT infrastructure in compliance with all industry best practices and regulatory requirements
- Stays current with industry best practices, new technology and trends
- Assists with technical implementation and troubleshooting where needed
- Manages third party vendor relationships and hold them accountable for delivery of agreed product or service
Provides thought leadership and in-depth expertise through coordination, implementation and delivery of services
Operationalizes the business strategy by developing actionable plans or programs for a function
Monitors plans and programs to ensure alignment with business objectives and other functions
Provides input into negotiations or financial agreements (e.g. contracts or services) that have an impact on the business
Monitors customer satisfaction and provides suggestions for improvements in services or programs
Manages teams to administer programs and services to meet customer needs
Partners with other internal resources in the execution of the strategy
Accountable for team performance and development
Performs other duties as assigned by management

ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
- Working knowledge and expertise with VMware, Windows Server and Linux
- Working knowledge and expertise with various storage solutions in the cloud and on premise (NetApp, Nimble, S3---)
- Working knowledge and expertise with automation scripting
- Working knowledge and expertise with managing AWS and/or Azure
- Ability to effectively manage a team of highly technical individuals across multiple geographies and time zones
- Extensive experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
- Practical understanding of ITIL practices
- Exceptional customer service orientation
- Strong understanding of project management principles
- Strong leadership skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to conduct and direct research into IT issues and products as required
- Ability to present ideas in business-friendly and user-friendly language

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
- High School Diploma required
Bachelor degree required (in Computer Science or related field)
Minimum 10 years' experience in progressively responsible technology leadership roles
- Minimum 5 years directly managing employee issues (performance reviews, conflicts, mentoring, etc.)
Successful track record of working with third-party providers to deliver results

MACHINES, OFFICE EQUIPMENT & SOFTWARE:
- Advanced in Microsoft Office applications
Excellent computer skills
