The Compensation and Benefits Manager oversees employee compensation and employee benefits programs for both corporate and field positions.This role reports to the Director, HR and is responsible for planning, implementing and oversight of the organizations benefit and pay practices in order to attract and retain the best employees and meet all legal, pay and benefit regulations in the areas in which we operate.Qualifications:1. Bachelor's degree or equivalent in business, human resources or related field and six years of progressively responsible experience in employee benefits and compensation; SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) and certified compensation and/or benefit professional credentials preferred.2. Minimum of 5 -7 years in a similar role; Significant experience in compensation and benefits management, including experience in a large, multi-state organization.3. Knowledge of laws and regulations as they apply to base compensation and incentive compensation programs, company policies, and operations, as well as health and welfare, benefit plans, 403B, disability and other benefits plans, regulations and practices; able to weigh the strengths and weaknesses of different pay structures and benefits plans and choose the best options for an organization.4. Experience and knowledge of all federal, state and local regulations and compliance requirements related to employee compensation and benefit plans and practices.5. Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret and communicate data; robust reports and data related to cost, usage, comparative pay data, recommend pay and benefit changes6. Computer proficiency and technical aptitude with the ability to use multiple systems and processes related to compensation and benefits including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Publisher, and Power Point), HRIS or ADP Workforce Now payroll/HR/Benefits (preferred not required).7. Excellent verbal and written communication skills; Strong interpersonal skills in dealing with senior management.; Ability to partner with payroll and finance department.Duties and ResponsibilitiesDevelopment, implementation and administration of compensation and benefit programs, offerings and philosophies and monitors effectiveness of existing compensation and benefits practices; recommends changes that are cost-effective and consistent with compensation trends and organizational objectives.

  • Support, create and advises on the organization's pay and benefits structure, including wage rates, pay scales, competitive pay issues, as well as retirement plans, leave policies, wellness programs, and insurance policies such as health, life, and disability
  • Key participant in selection of benefits vendors and oversee enrollment, renewal, and delivery of benefits to the organization's employees. They frequently monitor government regulations and market trends to ensure that their programs are current, competitive, and legal.
  • Monitor competitive wage rates to develop or modify compensation plans; assess ways for their organization to improve practices or policies. Using analytical, database, and presentation software, managers draw conclusions, present their findings, and make recommendations for the organization.
  • Support and work with outside partners, such as benefits vendors, insurance brokers, and investment managers
  • Oversee the distribution of pay and benefits information to the organization's employees
  • Ensure that pay and benefits plans comply with federal and state regulations
  • Prepare and monitor budget and operate within that budget
  • Provides advice on pay decisions, policy interpretations, and job evaluations.
  • Oversees the participation in salary surveys and monitors salary survey data to ensure compensation objectives are achieved.
