The Product Manager Develops specific plans and activities for
specific product(s) or product line(s) to establish, enhance or
distinguish product placement within the competitive arena.
Develops business plans and product positioning in the marketplace.
Oversees market research, monitors competitive activity and
identifies customer needs. Establishes pricing strategies. Works
with engineering, manufacturing and sales to develop new products
or enhance existing product(s) or product line(s).
Monitor the community, identify and qualify solutions that meet the
needs of multi-disciplinary oncology disease management teams.
Monitor international, national and industry standards for
information systems and define ways in which Varian complies to
Manage projects with customers and other vendors to ensure that
they deliver high-value on time and on budget.
Drive product increments leveraging AGILE and SCRUM
Collaborate with other product managers and engineers to define
high-value products and solutions with high-impact go-to-market
In collaboration with product marketing build value propositions
and develop business cases related to services offered by
Contribute to and collaborates on the overall information systems
Requires a post-secondary education, Bachelors in a field of
science or equivalent experience.
Product Management experience
Industry experience in healthcare
Familiarity with interface standards (HL7, DICOM, FHIR, APIs etc.)
is an asset
Practical experience in radiation oncology or comprehensive cancer
center is an asset
Ability to translate market trends, enabling technologies and
solutions into simple, effective and engaging verbal and written
Proficiency in written and spoken English
Experience with implementation of electronic medical record is
Strong team player and highly motivated.

Travel requirement: 10%-20%
