Health Economics and Outcome Research leaders to further build our
practice; leaders who are passionate about the prospect of growing
and encouraging a diverse team of scientists and consultants.We
hire throughout the year at varying levels of experience and offer
opportunities to work 100% remotely OR out of our NYC, Boston, LA,
Vancouver and London offices. Directors lead research teams, mentor
junior staff, lead existing clients and build new business. Oversee
the design and execution of a portfolio of research studies
intended to address health economic and health policy questions
using a range of potential techniques and approaches including
modeling, database analysis, and/or evidence synthesis.Senior
Directors have direct management and oversight of a book of
business, client accounts and a team to deliver high quality
research. Critical contributing partner to the overall success and
growth of our business. Actively engage in industry thought
leadership activities to increase the reputation of Precision
services by speaking at national and international conferences and
serving as an advisor to clients and trade associations.Day To Day
Responsibilities Include
- Oversees the design and execution of a portfolio of research
studies that use a range of data sources (e.g., claims, EHR,
clinical trial data) and address health economic, health policy
questions and strategic issues
- Leads and directs teams that conduct efficient, high-quality
analyses, and guides development of all analyses to efficiently
meet task goals and big picture project objectives
- Anticipates key risks and proactively develops and executes
mitigating strategies while mentoring others in project
execution
- Develops and prioritizes recommendations based on expected
impact, communicates risks and opportunities to ensure staff
alignment, assumes the role of final decision maker able to
overturn decisions and takes accountability for outcomes
- Leads and strategizes dissemination of research to a variety of
stakeholders through peer-reviewed manuscripts, conferences and
other presentations
- Proactively manages client expectations and implements
strategies to resolve issues on a client or project-basis
- Anticipates potential opportunities by working collaboratively
with clients, is perceived as scientific partner; mentors others to
do the same
- Clearly communicates roles, responsibilities, and expectations
for staff; provides ongoing coaching to staff; handles challenging
situations with tact and poise
- Supports the growth of the business by contributing to research
proposals and presentation content, participation in customer
meetings and targeting new opportunities with current customers for
repeat businessQualificationsMinimum Required:
- Advanced degree in a relevant discipline related to health
services research (economics, public policy, health policy,
epidemiology, biostatistics, or public health).
- 8-10+ years of experience demonstrating expert level
application of health economic, health outcomes or health policy
research methods preferably related to quantifying the value of
health care delivery and innovative treatments
- Expertise in conceptualizing, designing, and executing research
studies, including retrospective studies using a range of data
sources
- Expertise in managing clients and client expectations, and in
project timelines and financial performance
- Track record of published research in health economics, health
outcomes, or health policy research
- Experience managing a cross functional team in a research
environmentOther Required

- Expertise with business applications (Microsoft Office, Excel,
Outlook)
- Extensive expertise in client management and business
development
- Extensive expertise in staff management and development
- Exceptional management, organizational and time management
skills
- Ability to lead and mentor a team of experienced and
