Job Description:
Toyota Connected's Labs team is looking for a Senior Product
Manager. On the Labs team, you will be a key contributor to
next-generation platforms and technology systems focused on
customer experience and safety. Our Labs team is using statistical
and machine learning techniques to create scalable solutions for
vehicle telemetry data and video analysis and perform R&D to
drive discovery of new generation products for connected vehicles.

here.Responsibilities:
- Build, prune, and prioritize the product backlog for scrum
team(s) based on customer needs and technical feasibility in
collaboration with engineering lead, adapting to changing
priorities and account for adjustments to maximize customer
value.
- Collaborate with development teams to break down items into
executable stories that articulate business and customer
value.
- Ensure the product backlog is visible, transparent, and clear
to all, and provide direction on order of the Scrum team's
work.
- Research and design product metrics to provide accurate and
meaningful performance insights to the product team.
- Track progress, identify areas for improvement, and adjust
strategy based on data and metrics.
- Monitor product performance metrics, such as revenue, customer
satisfaction, and market share to stakeholders.
- Stay informed about the business strategy, market trends,
competitors, and customer base through market research, feedback,
and product performance analysis.
- Use primary research to identify customer needs, market trends,
and competitor activities, and additionally begins to use secondary
research (e.g., review industry trends and articles) to understand
customer needs and inform product strategy specific to a
product/feature.
- Contribute to the product vision and strategy for smaller
features, considering input from customers, stakeholders, and the
development team.
- Develop and manage the product roadmap, ensuring alignment with
the product vision and strategy and communicates the product's
evolution to stakeholders.
- Provide strategic guidance and insights to the product team
based on research and analytics, enabling data-driven
decisions.
- Define cost model estimates for development and operations
specific to product/feature with engineering leader.Required
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of Product Management experience building and
launching high-tech software products
- Experience developing vision for new product ideas and leading
Scrum team towards the development of those ideas
- Ability to use Excel and other tools to create business models,
product roadmaps, and provide supporting evidence for data driven
product decisions
- Experience creating user stories and communicating effectively
across multiple development teams and stakeholders
- Demonstrates ability to be the voice of the customer by
translating customer requirements and sharing their product
vision
- Experience working in an Agile software engineering
environment
- Experience making product decisions by balancing customer
needs, technical feasibility, and business goals
- Ability to develop and execute strategic plans, so projects
meet deadlines by effectively prioritizing tasks, allocating
resources, and proactively addressing potential roadblocks
- Experience collaborating effectively with cross-functional
teams, including developers, designers, and product owners
- Experience taking ownership of assigned projects and tasks,
proactively driving them to completion while ensuring
accountability for quality and deadlines.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects
simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery while maintaining
high-quality standards in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to identify, assess, and mitigate risks
- Ability to engage with customers to understand their needs and
provide effective solutions, ensuring a positive user experience
and continuous improvement based on feedback
- Experience leading coordination efforts across engineering,
design, and business teams, ensuring alignment on priorities and
timelines through structured backlog management, sprint planning,
and stakeholder communication
