The RN implements and directs care, using the nursing process with emphasis on the needs of individual Day Surgery patients. The Day Surgery RN participates in Day Surgery specific initiatives and process improvement and promotes a supportive Day Surgery environment. Also, provides supervision of new employees, patient care assistants, vocational nurses, nurse technicians, student nurses and/or nurse externs. Maintains high quality (age specific) care for infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients, as assigned.
