  • Provides care for assigned patient population in accordance with the current State of Texas Nurse Practice Act, established protocols, multidisciplinary plan of care, and clinical area specific standards.
  • Provide continuous assessment, consult with other team members as required and provide nursing care which demonstrates patient centered/patient valued care.
  • Exercise independent judgment in providing nursing care.
  • Demonstrate effective interpersonal skills and possess good oral and written communication skills.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and hospital staff in accordance with established policies and procedures.
  • Communicate effectively, via the overhead paging system.
  • Demonstrate the ability to provide direction to non nursing staff, serve as a preceptor, and serve on rotation as a Charge Nurse.
  • Prepare and conduct in service educational programs.
  • Demonstrate patient centered/patient valued behaviors.
  • As applicable, will be required to demonstrate acceptable knowledge of nursing standards of care for specialty care area. Benefits:

      • Graduate of a Registered Nursing program, Bachelor's in Nursing Degree (BSN) preferred.
      • Current/Valid RN license or temporary RN license from the Texas Board of Nursing; or, valid Compact RN license in good standing.
      • Current/Valid BLS from one of the following: American Heart Association - American Red Cross - Military Training Network.
      • 2 years of acute care nursing experience (ICU/CCU). Certification/Registration/Licensure
        • Current/Valid ACLS/ALS course completion care within 90 days of hire or reclassification into the role.
