The Emergency Department Registered Nurse is responsible for
assessing and stabilizing incoming patients in a fast-paced
environment. This role includes providing direct nursing care,
supervising non-licensed staff, and ensuring comprehensive patient
education and follow-up. The position requires current Texas RN
licensure and a minimum of one year of experience in an acute care
setting, with a preference for those having emergency department

Medical City Dallas! Job Summary and Qualifications What you will
do in this role:
- You will quickly access and prioritize incoming patients.
- You will perform comprehensive nursing assessments and
stabilize patients.
- You will provide direct nursing care and supervise non-licensed
nursing staff within the RN's scope of practice and in accordance
with established policies.
- You will provide patient education / follow-up care
instructions and make necessary referrals. What qualifications you
will need:
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (ASN) from Texas Board
of Nurse Examiners. Compact license is accepted. BSN preferred and
required within 24 months of hire into RN position.
- Current BLS- Healthcare Provider issued by American Heart
Association or American Red Cross is required
- Minimum of one year of experience in an acute care setting, one
year ED experience required
- CEN and/or CPEN preferred
- PALS Pediatric Adv Life Supt must be obtained within 30 days of
employment start date
- Trauma Nursing Core Course must be obtained within 1 year of
employment start date
- TNCC/ENPC required within 18 months
- Nonviolent Crisis Intervention, or Satori Alternatives Manag
Aggr must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date
