Job Description Faculty position employed by the University of
Texas at Tyler School of Medicine, practicing in UT Health East
Texas facilities. UT Tyler School of Medicine is seeking a BE/BC
Advanced Endoscopy Trained Gastroenterologist to join its practice
at UT Quitman (35 miles north of Tyler, TX) and UT Pittsburg, TX
(55 miles north of Tyler, TX). Your Work: - Join 8 physicians, 14
advanced providers and support staff - Supporting two rural
Critical Access hospitals – 25 beds each - Full-time employed
position - Both inpatient and outpatient services - 20-30 patients

Facilities: Both UT Health Pittsburg (constructed 2009) and UT
Health Quitman (constructed 2013) are each 25-bed critical access
hospitals offering 24-hour emergency designated as a Level IV
trauma center and Level III Stroke Center; surgical suites,
advanced diagnostic technology, sleep lab, and swing bed care to
the communities they serve. Joint Commission Accredited, UT Health
Pittsburg was recently named a "Top 123 Hospital of 2023" from The
LeapFrog Group. UT Health East Texas provides care to thousands of
patients each year through an extensive regional network that
includes 10 hospitals, more than 50 clinics, the Olympic Plaza

School of Medicine: The University of Texas at Tyler School of
Medicine is the first medical school in East Texas and the seventh
in The University of Texas System. Its mission is to train future
healthcare professionals to embrace responsibility for the unique
needs of rural and hard-to-reach communities and populations,
particularly those in East Texas. The school offers a robust
Graduate Medical Education program, with 20 residency and
fellowship training programs, enabling graduates to gain

Health System. The building is scheduled for completion in fall of
