Job Description Faculty position employed by the University of Texas at Tyler School of Medicine, practicing in UT Health East Texas facilities. UT Tyler School of Medicine is seeking a BE/BC Advanced Endoscopy Trained Gastroenterologist to join its practice at UT Quitman (35 miles north of Tyler, TX) and UT Pittsburg, TX (55 miles north of Tyler, TX). Joint Commission Accredited, UT Health Pittsburg was recently named a "Top 123 Hospital of 2023" from The LeapFrog Group. UT Health East Texas provides care to thousands of patients each year through an extensive regional network that includes 10 hospitals, more than 50 clinics, the Olympic Plaza Tower, 13 regional rehabilitation facilities, two freestanding emergency centers, regional home health services covering 41 counties, an EMS fleet of more than 50 ambulances and four helicopters, and a comprehensive seven-trauma center care network, including the region’s only Level 1 trauma facility. About UT Tyler School of Medicine: The University of Texas at Tyler School of Medicine is the first medical school in East Texas and the seventh in The University of Texas System. Its mission is to train future healthcare professionals to embrace responsibility for the unique needs of rural and hard-to-reach communities and populations, particularly those in East Texas.
