Methodist Health System is seeking a dedicated and skilled Staff Pharmacist to join our team. This position is crucial for ensuring the accurate preparation and distribution of medications and providing exceptional care to our patients. Verify physician medication orders for appropriateness and correctness. Prepare medications by compounding, packaging, and labeling pharmaceuticals. Control medications by monitoring drug therapies, advising interventions. Provide pharmacological information by answering questions and requests from healthcare professionals and counseling patients on drug therapies. Comply with state and federal drug laws, regulated by the state board of pharmacy, the DEA, and the FDA. Maintain pharmacological knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, and participating in professional societies. Strong understanding of medication management and pharmacotherapy Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for patient counseling Attention to detail with the ability to multitask effectively Ability to work independently as well as in a team setting Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Active Pharmacist license in the state of Texas or eligible for licensure. Board of Pharmacy Specialties certification preferred but not required.
