(Day and Evening options available) Position Summary The Radiologic
Technologist performs high quality diagnostic radiology procedures
on ambulatory and hospitalized patients under the general
supervision of a Radiologist. The technologist supports accurate
diagnosis of disease and injury by following established protocols,
ensuring patient and staff safety, and delivering excellent
customer service. Schedule Options 10 hour days: Monday Thursday
12:30 PM 9:00 PM and Friday 10:00 AM 7:00 PM. 10 hour evening
shifts also available. Essential Responsibilities Perform
radiologic procedures according to exam protocols in a timely,
efficient manner while maintaining image quality. Prepare patients
and procedure areas, including positioning, immobilization, and
equipment setup; adjust exposure factors and equipment controls as
needed. Utilize AIDET or similar framework to communicate with
patients and families, verify the correct exam, and assess the
patient s ability to tolerate the procedure. Adhere to safety
requirements, infection control, medication, and radiation
protection policies; apply proper shielding and sterile technique
for invasive or multimodality procedures. Maintain equipment and
work areas in clean, functional condition; collaborate with
engineers/physicists and report issues to management. Assist with
supply inventory and ensure adequate stock for daily operations.
Screen all individuals entering the imaging area according to
approved policies to ensure safety. Obtain, verify, and maintain
all required documentation, including orders, history, pregnancy
status, consent forms, and shielding precautions. Maintain complete
and accurate imaging records in PACS/RIS or other designated
systems according to department standards. Key Success Factors
Ability to independently perform high quality radiology exams per
protocol within required time frames. Strong communication skills
to explain procedures and ease patient anxiety. Ability to deliver
timely, accurate, cost effective services in compliance with
regulatory and system standards. Capability to work autonomously
with minimal routine oversight and remain calm, helpful, and
professional in stressful situations. Ability to administer basic
first aid and utilize emergency equipment when needed. Commitment
to customer satisfaction by limiting wait times, providing
courteous service, and participating in service improvement
efforts. Maintains current knowledge and skills to care for
patients across the lifespan (newborn, pediatric, young adult,
adult, geriatric). Ability to serve as preceptor and support
training for new team members and new services. Willingness to take
call, if required. Minimum Qualifications Education: Graduate of an
accredited Radiologic Technology program (JRCERT or equivalent).
Experience: Less than 1 year of experience; new graduates welcome.
Certification/Licensure: ARRT certification in Radiography ARRT(R).
Basic Life Support (BLS), or ability to obtain within 30 days of
hire. Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT) license from the Texas
Medical Board. Job Type: Full time
