What you own (responsibilities):We are agile, and so our days and duties can vary. In this role, you own and are responsible for delivering to your colleagues:

  • Plan, design, enhance, and execute end-to-end web architecture in our stack that includes React, JavaScript, Node.js, PostgreSQL, AWS, and Python
  • Develop, create, and implement improvements to our stack including development tools, methodologies, and processes.
  • Help to accelerate our hardware and software product and platform growth.
  • Think through complex problems and ask questions.
  • Diagnose and fix application bottlenecks to improve performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality products.
  • Use a holistic, test-oriented approach to troubleshoot, debug and upgrade software and hardware.
  • Create user experiences that are simple, easy to comprehend, performance-oriented, and reliable.
  • Perform other related customer support duties as required What you bring (experience and qualifications):We come together to deliver for each other and our customers, and we know there are many paths to performing well. We will expect you to come up to speed fast and deliver great work without too much guidance. We think it would be hard to do that in this job without specialized education or proven successful experience in:
    • Bachelor's/Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science desired. 10+ years of progressive full-stack experience may substitute for education.
    • 7+ years of relevant experience as a full-stack developer
    • Meaningful experience working with React, JavaScript, Node.js, PostgreSQL, Python, and AWS (or most of these)
    • Experience working with connected devices and/or the telecommunication or consumer electronics sector
    • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to design, code, debug, and test procedures
    • The desire to learn new technologies and work methods
    • The ability to work in a cross-functional group environment as well as alone

In general, your work can be done remotely; a Dallas home location is a plus but is not required for this position. The physical requirements include prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer (though you can use the tech benefit to create whatever desk style works best for you).
