Lockheed Martin, a leader in aerospace and defense technologies, is seeking an experienced AI Research Engineer to join our innovative R&D team. This role focuses on developing cutting-edge artificial intelligence technologies and systems to enhance national security and defense capabilities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in AI and machine learning methodologies, hands-on experience in AI research, and the ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic team environment. Conduct innovative research and develop algorithms in the fields of artificial intelligence and machine learning. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AI technologies into defense systems. Stay abreast of technological advancements in AI and propose new project directions. Debug and optimize AI systems for performance and efficiency. Participate in peer reviews, prepare research papers, and present findings at relevant conferences. Proficiency in machine learning libraries and frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch). Experience with programming languages such as Python, C++, or Java. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to handle large datasets and develop data-driven AI models. Experience with deploying AI models into production environments.
