Position Summary: Responsible for reviewing, drafting, and researching a variety of commercial agreements, as well as assisting in the development of internal business teams, and providing legal advice.
Job Functions

  • Draft and negotiate various commercial agreements and other operational and vendor agreements.
  • Advise on business transactions regarding outsourcing, insurance, vendor services, and other related contracts.
  • Assess legal risks associated with business transactions, initiatives, and operations, and make timely recommendations to address those risks.
  • Work closely and collaboratively with internal teams to identify and achieve desired business outcomes while minimizing legal risk.
  • Assist in administration of corporate policies and procedures, such as vendor security, privacy compliance and contract approval
  • Provide other legal counsel and support as needed.
    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
    • A law degree from an accredited law school and admission to practice law in Texas or California.
    • Minimum 4 years' experience, with top law firm or in-house legal department experience preferred.
    • Experience drafting and negotiating corporate agreements, asset management agreements, vendor contracts, and insurance agreements.
    • Demonstrate a naturally business-friendly approach to legal problem solving and effectively provide clear and concise practical advice.
    • Experience with mergers and acquisitions and private equity venture capital are a plus. -
