- Life Science Regulatory Counsel with focus on Product
- Quickly grasps key drivers of the business and industry and
becomes immersed in the most important business issues facing the
company
- Provides legal advice on the design and configuration of
existing and emerging products, features, devices, and solutions,
particularly where technology and innovation outpace
regulation
- Advises R&D, quality, delivery, sales, marketing, and other
key business stakeholders across the organization
- Works cross-functionally to identify, analyze, and mitigate
risks (while maximizing commercial opportunities) on complex issues
with multiple dependencies and stakeholders
- Partners with internal clients to create proactive strategies
designed to avoid or minimize exposure
- Effectively communicates risks and consequences, balancing
potentially conflicting goals, to collaborate with the business on
viable alternatives
- Stays current with legal developments, best practices, and
benchmarks in the noted areas of law; assists internal clients in
implementing policies and procedures in response
- Hires, retains, and mentors extraordinary attorneys to build an
extraordinary team
- Other duties as assignedQualifications
- 15+ years of working experience in product counseling and
technology transactions or a combination of education and
experience, both in-house and major law firm experience
preferred
- Solid working knowledge of corporate law, regulations, and best
practices
- Demonstrated successful leadership and collaboration with
colleagues; ability to develop business solutions with effective
presentation of risks and anticipated outcomes
- Currently admitted in good standing to practice law in at least
one state in the United States or international equivalent
- Experience in working successfully in a highly results-oriented
and performance-driven environment with a focus on excellence
- Demonstrates a strategic, innovative, creative, and inquisitive
frame of mind and a service and leadership mentality, with strong
business acumen and judgment
- Passionate about product, ethics, and winning
- Takes initiative and ownership, and operates with a sense of
urgency, decisiveness, and responsiveness
- Makes nuanced recommendations and data-driven business
decisions
- Strong and effective verbal and written communication, with
skill and empathy, to a variety of audiences

results. Delivers the technical, planning, and project management
skills to ensure the highest quality execution
- Holds themselves to the highest standards of

- Juris Doctor (or international equivalent) from a top law
school.
- Travel as requiredU.S. employees and contractors, and
International workers with travel to the U.S. must have a
