This singular mission requires a dedication to innovative thinking at every level.USAA is seeking a Lead Accessibility Advisor in the Member Interaction workspace with expertise in Digital Accessibility or Contact Center. This role is a hybrid position at our San Antonio Corporate office or regional offices in Tampa, Colorado Springs, Phoenix, Charlotte, Plano or remote work is available for candidates who do not live in a location where USAA has a physical office.Applies knowledge of accommodating individuals with disabilities in establishing internal standards, policies and procedures as they relate to a particular domain (digital, documents, facilities, MSR service). Provides guidance on best practices and innovative solutions to meet accessibility standards. Collaborates with stakeholders to identify and prioritize operational risks, develop mitigation strategies and implement process controls. Gathers and monitors data to evaluate and demonstrate the effectiveness of the accessibility program. Serves as an ambassador and advocates the importance of accessibility and its impact to members and the association. Participates in project planning and execution to ensure accessibility objectives are fulfilled.Job RequirementsPrimary Responsibilities:Identifies and manages existing and emerging risks that stem from business activities and the job role.Ensures risks associated with business activities are effectively identified, measured, monitored, and controlled.Follows written risk and compliance policies, standards, and procedures for business activities.Leads large scale business initiatives; applying knowledge of team dynamics to promote a collaborate work environment and achieve objectives.Leverages business knowledge (products, processes, etc) and expert subject matter knowledge to direct analyses, synthesize andor interpret large quantities of information to recommend solutions and influence business decisions.Develops a compelling rationale in support of the final recommendation(s); prepares and delivers the message to team and all levels of management.Maintains an expert-level knowledge of the competitive landscape and applies that knowledge to identify and understand current and future business challenges; makes recommendations to address competitive challenges.Contributes to or fosters innovative thinking in identifying future needs and opportunities.Develops and delivers all types of messages in the normal execution of day-to-day responsibilities and professionally responds to results Promotes a calming influence in municates to educate and influence; and may advise senior management on issues and negotiate solutions.Anticipates and handles critical situations and removes obstacles.Acts as a role model; serves as a mentor to less experienced peers and team members to achieve business results.Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's degree in a Business, Computer Science, Computer Human Interaction, ArchitectureEngineering Design; OR 4 years of related experience (in addition to the minimum years of experience required) may be substituted in lieu of degree.8 or more years of operational experience in a digital, document, buildingconstruction, or customer service environment with knowledge of accommodating individuals with disabilities.Preferred Experience:Strong understanding of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)'s requirements for reasonable accommodations and effective communicationPossess a foundational understanding of global digital accessibility regulations (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG), Section 508, EN 301 439, PDFUA standard) and accessibilitydisability personasAbility to effectively assess customer's Accessibility needs while consulting, building solutions, and developing processesExperience developing, implementing, and monitoring a risk-based governance program to assure compliance with federal, state, agency, legal, regulatory requirements, and internal policy adherence-- -Experience assessing the adequacy of Accessibility policies, procedures, and processes (includes compliance and operational controls within a large complex organization)Experience dealing with Accessibility feedback and providing appropriate remediation actionsThe above description reflects the details considered necessary to describe the principal functions of the job and should not be construed as a detailed description of all the work requirements that may be performed in the pensation:USAA has an effective process for assessing market data and establishing ranges to ensure we remain competitive. You are paid within the salary range based on your experience and market position.
