Summary

Sets up, operates, and tends machines used to crush and grind materials used to produce tile.

Shift:

Mon-Wed 6am-6pm and Thurs 6am-12pm

Must attend 3-4 weeks of Training Mon-Fri 8am-4:30pm

Hourly Rate:

$18 per hour



Duties and Responsibilities

Load and unload raw materials into specific storage sections
Transport raw material according to work orders specifications
Observing operation of equipment to ensure continuity of flow, safety, and efficient operation, and detect malfunctions
Moving controls to start, stop, or adjusting machinery and equipment that crushes, grinds, and blends materials
Recording data from operations, testing, and production on specified forms
Examining materials in order to ensure conformance to established standards
Rejecting defective products and readjusting equipment to eliminate problems
Able to operate heavy machinery
Conduct tests and inspections
Other duties may be assigned



Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED
Construction background a plus but not required
1-2 years' experience in manufacture environment
Must pass a basic math test prior to hire.
Must possess excellent communication skills.
