Description: Job Title: Scientist, Electrical Engineering - ODA Airworthiness Job Code: IMS20230905-100571 Job Location: Greenville, Texas, Hybrid, or Remote Job Schedule: 9/80 Work Schedule Job Description: This position is for an Electrical Engineer for the Airworthiness Engineering Group at our Greenville, TX facility. Must be capable of becoming an FAA ODA Electrical Systems and Equipment Unit Member, approving aircraft modifications and repairs on behalf of the FAA. Essential Functions:

• As an FAA ODA Unit Member, approve aircraft modifications and repairs on behalf of the FAA.
• Review and issue technical approval for the electrical aspects of aircraft modifications and repairs performed by L3Harris for both civil and military aircraft.
• Act as Certification Task Leader for some projects, tracking programmatic issues involving airworthiness as well as project cost/schedule performance. Job Qualification Requirements: Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Electrical Engineering, and a minimum of 12 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 10 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 16 years of prior related experience.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Security Clearance which requires U.S. Citizenship is required.
  • Must be able to travel and work overtime as required.
  • May be required to pass an FAA Class III flight physical.
  • Previous experience as an FAA-DER or ODA Unit Member is required.
  • Experience with 14 CFR Part 23 and/or Part 25 regulations is required. Preferred Additional Skills:
    • Familiarity with FAA Order 8110.101 Type Certification for Military Commercial Derivative Aircraft.
    • Familiarity with MIL-HDBK-516 military airworthiness certification criteria.
    • Experience with safety analysis, lightning, or EWIS approvals. Colorado's Equal Pay for Equal Work Act:In compliance with Colorado's Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the salary range for this role in Colorado is $82,500 minimum and a $153,000 maximum salary. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
