Technology Solutions team is on the lookout for an exceptional
Security engineer to join our Customer Technology Center (CTC)
team. The candidate will use their security knowledge and hands on
skills to lead the security practice for the CTC team. As a
Principal Architect (PA), you will be responsible for acting as a
technical security expert in the area of network security,
application security, and emerging technology security. You will
gather customer requirements, design solutions, and prove the
solution viability through lab Proof of Concepts. The Security PA
is responsible for staying abreast of the latest industry trends
and best practices:
- Build lab environments, run test cases, document results, and
present to the customer, sales, and presales community.
- Assist with the development of as-built documentation for lab
testing environments and provide physical and technical assistance
to lab engineers.
- Make presentations, with deep technical and design
experience.
- Bring the technology's business value by being the hands-on
person executing proofs of concept (POC).What we're looking
for...You'll need to have:
- "Must be a current participant of the Department of Defense
SkillBridge Program or of the Hiring our Heroes Fellowship
Programs"
- Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work
experience.
- Knowledge of Security and risk management.
- Six or more years of relevant work experience
- Knowledge of Security Architecture and engineering.
- Knowledge of Network Security components design
principles.
- Knowledge of the latest trends and best practices in Security
operations and lifecycle.
- Experience with Network Security tools and protocols.
- Experience with: Visio, G-Suite, Jive, Atlassian Confluence,
UML.Even better if you have one or more of the following:
- MS in Engineering / Computer Science or equivalent
experience.
- Substantial knowledge of Cloud technologies, Network, and IoT
Security Models
- Knowledge and interest in emerging technologies (AI/ML, AR/VR,
blockchain, robotics, IoT, etc.) and how security intersects these
fields.
- Industry Security Certification: I.E. CISSP, Certified Ethical
Hacker (CEH), GPEN, OSCP, CASP+, GSE
- Six or more years of experience in designing and implementing
complex security solutions.
- Advanced Security design and implementation skills in Data and
IP Network Services
- Advanced security design and implementation skills for Software
Development, APIs, and NetDevOps.
- Demonstrated teamwork & collaboration skills to work across
organizations.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills to develop quick yet sound
solutions to resolve complex issues.
- Demonstrate self-direction, self-motivation, self-initiative,
and work autonomously.
- Experience with presentation and value proposition skills.
- Proficiency in Lab Testing.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple,
competing priorities simultaneously.
- Ability to work on a team locally and remote. If Verizon and
