Primary Purpose:
Responsible for gathering and documenting business requirements for
the development of new business systems and enhancements to
existing systems. Become an expert in the business workflows and
use of applications as well as existing system functionality. Seek
positive outcomes by working closely with product management,
product compliance, technology teams, operations, vendors, other
departments and business resources to identify and implement
solutions that support the business unit's goals.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Gather and document quality user requirements and create supporting
documentation per established procedures (i.e. requirements,
BRD)
Document and analyze AS IS and TO BE business processes ensuring
that underlying issues and concerns are addressed with project
deliverables
Participate in requirement review meetings with IT and business
partners to obtain sign-off
Provide training on functional documentation and/or procedures
created
Drive solutions by developing and maintaining a comprehensive
knowledge of systems used by business partners to make
recommendations for solutions that focus on business need
Work with business and the development team to review and approve
solutions/design ensuring transparency across the teams
Create and format tables that will be used for new state rollouts
and enhancements
Work with test lead to define testing strategy and identify use
cases
Participate in monitoring and approval of test results
Assist in User Acceptance Testing with business representatives
when needed
Assist in developing training strategy and defining training
requirements
Assist in rollout activities with business which include
coordinating pilot (if applicable) and preparing release notes,
user guides and training material for the end users
Complete production acceptance of change which includes end user
participation and validation of successful implementation
Perform post production support by performing knowledge transfer to
Support team to ensure they are able to investigate and resolve
issues; provide guidance and/or help in investigating and resolving
issues
Perform post implementation review and contribute to identification
of lessons learned
Participate in project meetings and publish meeting minutes
Provide project updates including identification of issues and
risks
Provide support to Project Management group and other business
units as directed
Prepare formal presentations, written reports and general project
documents as deemed appropriate
Plan and organize assignments to achieve objectives in a timely
manner in accordance with applicable quality standards
Inform Management of any facts, events or information that may
impact the success of a project or deliverable
Minimum Skills and Competencies:
Business Process Analyst II
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge,

Bachelor Degree or in-lieu of degree equivalent education, training
and work-related experience
2+ years of experience in the role of a business analyst or
relevant business operations experience in a problem solving
capacity
Ability to adhere to established Software Development Lifecycle
methods
Ability to ensure all documentation is in order to facilitate audit
requirements
Analytical, planning and problem solving skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook,
PowerPoint)
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to establish
working relationships with individuals at varying levels within the
organization
Strong analytical skills with the ability to organize tasks and
interact with development team
Ability to share knowledge and provide subject matter expertise
within area of responsibility
Ability to escalate issues appropriately
Effective organization and time management skills with the ability
to work under pressure and adhere to project deadlines
Must be able to work in a dynamic environment and manage competing
priorities

4+ years of experience in the role of a business analyst or
relevant business operations experience in a problem solving
capacity
Desired Skills:
Business Process Analyst II
Build and enhance individual development and skill-set by seeking
educational opportunities, participating in available training and
researching innovative technology and methodologies to provide
strong departmental support
Experience in a business analyst role
Previous experience in an operational area performing QA testing or
be a strong performer inquiring about system functionality
Previous experience in Insurance or Financial related
industries
SQL Experience
Business Process Analyst III

Business analyst certification
Experienced working with Microsoft TFS, Quickbase and Sharepoint
applications
