Job Description

This position supports operation by providing leadership to the packaging areas. Qualified candidates must be able to perform a variety of jobs, tasks, or duties as required; and must be able to work any shift, overtime, and weekends as required

The tasks required, but not limited to, are general housekeeping, clean up, sweeping, vacuuming, painting, lubrication (oiling, greasing, etc.), power washing, lifting and hauling items up and down stairs, dump rework, and operate a motorized fork lift and a variety of other miscellaneous duties as assigned.

• Understand Food Process Equipment
• Understand VFD, Panel Controller, Instrumentation troubleshooting and programming
• Understand product ink printing, glue applications and labeling equipment
  • Understand sorting and palletizing equipment
  • Understanding conveyors, gearbox, motors, and bearing greasing routes and inspection
  • Working with line operators/supervisors to keep lines running. Performing daily walkthrough
  • Keeping lines running for better efficiency
  • Clean the maintenance shop and keep parts organized in the parts room area
  • Complete assigned PM's and Work Order in a timely manner
  • Working safely and following all SOP's on lock out of equipment
  • Able to assist others on job task or breakdowns
  • Identify needed mechanical and electrical improvements
  • Make necessary mechanical and electrical repairs when necessary
  • Identify and work to eliminate unsafe conditions and or practices
  • Completion and accuracy of down time sheets/GMP log
  • Must be a self-starter
  • Ability to work on facility equipment and all other plant and office assignments
  • Ability to be flexible and work some weekends
    
    Qualifications
    
    Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
    
    Related Experience: Previously relevant experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
    
    Equipment/Software Skills:
    
    • Ability to operate and understand packaging equipment and processes
    • Basic computer skills
    • Ability to operate forklift truck, scissors lift, and sky trac
    • Basic mechanical and electrical skills
    • Ability to read schematics, wire diagrams, flow and block diagrams
      
      Additional Information
      
      Physical: Ability to lift 50 pounds, climb stairs, lift, bend, kneel, stand for long periods of time, work in confined spaces, and work with heights
