JOB TITLE: Facilities and Maintenance TechnicianDEPARTMENT: ManufacturingREPORTS TO: Senior Production ManagerJOB SUMMARY: The Facilities and Maintenance Technician is a team of one who will work with all facilities and equipment maintenance activity. The primary function will be keeping production and test equipment in operationally safe running condition. Additionally, responsibility for the grounds and facilities (lights, fire prevention, building security, landscaping) lie with Facilities and Maintenance Technician.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Maintain safety of employees by ensuring proper maintenance and operation of equipment,
  • Follow fundamental Lock Out/Tag Out practices,
  • Maintain all production equipment in good running order to ensure a quality product is produced,
  • Assist engineering in troubleshooting equipment (both mechanical and electrical) and lead the effort in bringing in additional resources (plumbing, mechanical, electrical, HVAC) as needed,
  • Ensure all fire prevention equipment are inspected and maintained in good running order,
  • Maintain building permits as well as building and property drawings,
  • Hazmat procedures followed. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES:
    • Proactive hands-on individual who thrives in problem solving performance-based roles with a sense of urgency to get things done,
    • Leads by example and motivates others to maintain a challenging, empowering, and collaborative working environment where all employees feel valued,
    • Sound fundamental basic mechanical troubleshooting abilities as it relates to pneumatic equipment and fixturing,
    • Sound fundamental base electrical troubleshooting abilities as it relates to electrical equipment and repairs for low voltage (120VAC),
    • Working knowledge of basic machining (ie. Bridgeport), simple welding (MIG/TIG), and fixturing/fabrication,
    • Ability to earn certifications as needed (HVAC, PLC).
    • Quality work with attention to detail.
      • HS diploma/GED required,
      • AS/BS Engineering or technical college level course work preferred,
      • Previous experience in maintenance, facilities role, and manufacturing equipment repair.
