AMI is one of the world's leading Wholesale Airfreight and Express Service providers. The job holder will focus on supporting the business by fostering strong relationships with our current customers, understanding their needs and driving solutions for their success. They will drive sales initiatives to expand and grow our Southwestern Region--customer base by introducing new customers. Much of their time is customer facing on the road.Position Overview:------------------The position holder's main purpose is to maintain our current customers and drive sales and sales initiatives to expand and grow our customer base.--They will build and maintain solid relationships with existing and potential customers.--The incumbent is expected to understand the needs of the customer, foster strong relationships internally and externally and drive the sales strategy for AMI in their locations of responsibility.--Much of their time is customer facing on the road.--Main Duties include:Drive sales targets in line with the AMI Sales Strategy for AMI products and services.Develop and increase the sales pipeline in their region.Generating new sales leads and fostering any future opportunities across our network.--Play a key part in setting realistic but stretch targets and goals for themselvesEngage in product marketing and supportUnderstand the current competitor landscape and providing analysis to drive sales strategy.Increase customer base across all products and service.Drive and engage in US and overseas sales with some travel where requiredWork with department heads to provide feedback and solutions on their performanceSupport the customer services team during peak periodsWork with the Branches to provide constructive feedback and solutions on our performance from the eyes of the customer.----Qualifications and Experience:Proven senior sales executive / business development with a minimum of 5 years' experience in a sales position with a GSA and/or airline, preferably also freight forwarder industry experience but not essential.A self-starter who possesses strong customer-orientation and understanding of customer needs.--Self-motivated, disciplined and a proven success in relationship development, with a flexible attitude to working hours.Good analytical skillsSmart appearance and ability to interact/liaise with management on all levels and professional at all times.Excellent communication skills both written & verbal.Must have on-the-road sales experience with good negotiation skills.Must be able to drive and possess a clean Driver's licenceStrives to understand the customer and their needs and able to provide solutions for customers.Builds trust easily, especially with customersDisplays a high level of customer service and maturity when dealing with customers.--Possess gravitas and have the ability to talk positively about our products and servicesHas motivational and inspirational presenceA team player who possesses a friendly and confident manner with a pleasant personality.High level of self-awareness and understand their impact on othersHas a bias for action and energy to drive sales.----Requirements:Key BehaviorsEnthusiastic:--Shows intense and eager enjoyment and interestTeam Player:--Works well as a member of a groupDedicated:--Devoted to a task or purpose with loyalty or integrityEducation:Bachelors or better (Preferred)Expereince: 5 years:--Management experience and business development5 years:--Experience in a sales position with a GSA and/or airline, preferably also freight forwarder industry experience.Licenses & Certifications:DRIVERS LICENSEEqual Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with DisabilitiesThe contractor will not discharge or in any other manner discriminate against employees or applicants because they have inquired about, discussed, or disclosed their own pay or the pay of another employee or applicant.
