SUMMARY:

The Sales Director plays a leadership role in the company by driving both inside and outside sales opportunities, through the development of sales and marketing strategies, identifying key vertical markets, creating effective communication and sales tools, and acquiring new customers in addition to facilitating growth of current customers. The Sales Director will also work closely with the marketing department to ensure that new market data and products are introduced to new and existing customers. This position is part of a highly collaborative and effective cross functional team that includes Sales, Marketing, Purchasing, Scheduling, Manufacturing, QA, Finance and R&D.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Identify prospects and identify solutions that will convert such prospects to long term customers.
  • Develop strong relationships with customers to build and grow revenue.
  • Match customer needs with our capabilities.
  • Maximize our share of customer budget for CPG products-make us the "go to" manufacturer for our customers.
  • Oversee development of sales team and training needs for the team.
  • Work closely with VP of Sales in developing sales campaigns and strategies, budget forecasting and ongoing development of KPI's.
  • Meet or exceed target sales volumes.
  • Work with marketing department to create strong differentiators and value propositions for new ingredients, products and ideas.
  • Manage all documentation for the customer including NDA, contracts, and business terms.
  • Review status of products in development, open orders, shipments, and invoices to ensure all are meeting both the customer and internal expectations.
  • Develop forecasts and coordinate with Purchasing, Scheduling and Manufacturing to ensure that product requirements are met accurately and on-time.
  • Outreach to new prospects and onboard as customers.
  • Present new product offerings based on customers target markets and market trends.
    MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITY REQUIREMENTS:
    • Proven sales executive experience, meeting or exceeding targets.
    • Previous experience as a sales executive, sales manager or sales and marketing director.
    • Ability to communicate, present and influence all levels of the organization, including executive and C-level.
    • Proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close.
    • Proven ability to articulate the distinct aspects of products and services.
    • Prior experience in CPG industry is preferred but not required.EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
      • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing or related field (Required).
      • Minimum of seven years' sales and/ or account management experience.
      • Previous supervisory experience (Required).
      • Knowledge of dietary/nutritional experience in a manufacturing environment (Preferred).
      • Excellent customer service skills.
        • Experience with MS Office Suite.
        • Must possess strong organizational and communication skills.
        • Detail-oriented, ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks with strict deadlines.
        • Able to use logic and reasoning to identify solutions to problems.
        • Takes initiative and seeks additional training or direction as needed.
        • Must be willing to abide by Cosmax NBT USA's policies and procedures, including those that are safety-related.
        • Self-motivated individual willing to work hard, able to work in a group and alone, and be quality conscious.
        • Demonstrates a professional, team first attitude toward work and co-workers.
        • Manual dexterity sufficient to operate a wide variety of equipment.
        • Must be proficient in reading, writing and speaking of English.
          WORK ENVIRONMENT

          Manufacturing work environment. Constant physical activities are required for this position. Able to tolerate working environment with inside hot and cold temperatures.

          PHYSICAL DEMANDS

          Activities include: ability to reach overhead, squat, and bend at the waist; the ability to lift up to 10 pounds or more; ability to climb up and down stairs throughout a shift; tolerance of standing posture continuously during shift; intense walking is involved. Dexterity for manipulating work materials; repetitive motion; proficiency in reading, writing and speaking English. Ability to respond to safety signals, such as those generated by forklifts.

          TRAVEL: Up to 30%
